RESOLUTION

The representatives of the non-governmental organizations from the Romanian part of the Danube-Kris-Mures-Tisza Euroregion (Arad, Caras-Severin, Hunedoara, Timis counties), as a follow-up of the session, taking into consideration the fact that:

The public-private partnership is an essential condition for the development of cross-border cooperation in all the domains,
and that
The events, the programs, their result, and the resources used by the non-governmental organizations represent a significant and continuously growing weight within all the resources involved in this form of collaboration,

Have agreed upon soliciting their partners – institutions of the local public administration, signatory to the Protocol of Danube-Kris-Mures-Tisza Regional Cooperation – to initiate the discussions and release of the procedures for the modification of the Protocol of Danube-Kris-Mures-Tisza Regional Cooperation in the following sense:
a. To promote the public-private partnership on the level of the DKMT Euroregion
b. To re-shape the mechanisms of decision-making and implementation in the spirit of this partnership.

The present Resolution was hereby adopted according to the objectives of the Timisoara Declaration of Cross-Border Cooperation in South-Eastern Europe adopted at the 19th Conference Europe of Regions (Timisoara, September 14-16), held under the auspices of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe and the President of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe.
