The population of the commune counts 1222 inhabitants, as follows: Pietroasa 370 inhabitants, Crivina de Sus 243 inhabitants, Poieni 332 inhabitants and Fărăşeşti 277 inhabitants.

Age: under 18 years - 368, 18 to 39 years - 350, 40 to 60 years - 257, over 60 years - 247.

Occupation: 70 children pre- and school age, 141 highschool children, 564 farmers, 132 employees, 15 unemployed, 247 retired, 53 others.

Religion: 775 ortodox, 336 penticostal, 108 baptist, 3 adventist.
