Museums, churches, monastries
The main tourist attractions are the two wooden churches: in Curtea – the wooden church „Pious Paraschiva”, architectural monument from 1794 and painted between 1804-1806, and in Homojdia – the wooden church „Saint Mary’s Sleep”, architectural monument built between 1728-1730. Two kilometres from Curtea, near Româneşti village, it’s located the Monastry „Miron’s Spring”, with pools with fish and water lilies and a thermal spring. An ethnographic museum and natural science museum is arranged in the Gymnasium. |
