Location

Curtea is situated in the West part of Romania, and the North-East of Timis County, at the foot of Poiana Ruscă Mountains and between the two branches of Bega river (Bega-Luncani and Bega-Poieni). The village is two kilometres from the national road DN68A Lugoj-Deva, and 46km from Lugoj. The nearest railway station is 4km away, in Margina village. The closest town is Făget at 12km. The locality is also 37km from the national road DE70 Deva-Arad-Nădlag through Ilia and 28km from the road Făget-Săvârşin. The nearest airport is in Timişoara at 110km.

Curtea includes three localities:

  • Curtea, commune residence in South-West, on DJ684,
  • Coşava village situated in the North-West, on DN68A,
  • Homojdia village situated in the East of the administrative territory, on DC110.

The neighbouring localities are: to North Margina commune, to South-West Făget town, to South Tomeşti commune, and to South-East Pietroasa commune.
